From childhood I dreamed of painting in churches. I studied fine art, then after raising two sons, attained a BA in Theology Summa cum Laude from Ohio Dominican University, Columbus OH.
I am a Lay Dominican in the Eastern province and was the coordinator of RCIA at our Dominican parish, St. Patrick’s in Columbus, Ohio for at least 8 years. Speaking on art and Theology and painting images that inspire the faithful is my way of living the Dominican charism “to contemplate the truth and share the fruits of that contemplation”.
In 2010 I began designing Paschal and Baptismal candles which melds my love of the Catholic faith, evangelization and art.
My family lived in Ohio for 30 years. In January of the crazy year of 202o my husband and I discerned, after much prayer, the need to move West to be closer to family. Now recently relocated in WA, we are reuniting with family, exploring new territory, making new friends as much as possible in these restricted times while joyfully continuing the work with the candles. We have two grown sons, two lovely daughter in laws, two darling granddaughters and one chunky grandson. We thank God together every day for the blessings He bestows.
